Melbs

I'm back in Melbourne, for the...fourth time now. Yup, fourth time, and I still don't know my way around. Amazing isn't it?!

I ended my time in Tas by spending some time with my friends in Hobart and then my last two nights I spent over in Hawley Beach. I planned to spend one night in Devonport, but when I found a beach with a burnt car there, I decided to go back to my previous camping spot where I felt a lot safer. And there was a free Wi-fi spot too.

I walked to the end of the port at the beach and saw one penguin hiding in its little hole, and the on the morning of my departure, I had to wake up at 05.00 to make sure I would get on the ferry in time.

I get to the ferry terminal, I'm like the 10th car in the que to get on the boat, so I was pretty early. After checking in, I get in another que for actually boarding the ferry and I have a little chat with a guy on a bike getting off the ferry, nice guy. Not to long after, while I'm reading my book (Elephants on Acid) a shaved headed, tall skinny guy jumps by my window screaming "Boo!" I was too tired to react. It was a friend/co-worker/housemate from the cherry farm and his girlfriend who were only a few cars to the left of me. Now get this. I called Spirit of Tasmania about a week ago, and tried to score a ticket to get on the ferry ASAP, with very little luck, hence me having to stay in Hobart the amount of time I did. So, I had to pay a peak season ticket and the for a Ocean Recliner chair. I'm not very happy about it, but I suck it up and cough up the cash. I talk to my friends, and they called 3 days prior, and they got "standing" tickets, which meant they were cheaper. I was about to rip out my own eyes if I wasn't so tired. Oh well. Nothing worth crying about.

The ferry ride was ok, nothing too special. Just like every other ferry I've been on, only this time I randomly knew two of the other passengers. I began thinking of the book Life of Pi which I just finished reading. A book I would recommend you read. It's about a small boy being stuck on a life raft with a Bengal tiger, pretty scary stuff. But a great read nonetheless. The boy, before he was on the life raft, was doing something not a whole lot people do: practice more than one religion. He was practicing: Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. Very interesting idea. Which lead me to my own idea: read the Quran (Koran). Why? Because I've heard of so many people reading religious literature out of pure interest, and I found that pretty admirable, and so I am taking up the task of reading the Koran and try to understand. Will I succeed? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to it. I don't feel I have a void in my life that needs to be filled, so I'm resorting to religion. No. This is pure interest. Like many of the other past experiences I've had, which could mainly been out of pure interest.

Hmm...anyway.

If some of you remember, I was given an i-Mate Ultimate 9502 from my boss, a value of approximately 1000AUD. Pretty sweet, eh? Well, it's slightly buggy. Screen turns off every once in a while and it keeps on asking me if I want to turn it off. Very annoying. But I finally got a chance to use it, over in Hawley Beach. It went alright actually. Once you found the proper angle to use it at, then it went smoothly. Chatting and surfing on it wasn't too bad, just a bad reception. And then I tried to use it down in Melbs which has heaps of free internet, and it worked ok, just hard to actually connect to it. And also, couldn't connect to my hosts internet either. Which was a bit annoying.

As I was walking to this internet cafe, I saw the computer I want to buy, and so I have decided to go to a pawn shop and try selling the imate and see how much I can get for it. Usually pawn shops give you half, well, that's how much they worked in Sydney, what you paid for it, and since it's a little bit scratched, they might take off some more money for it, so if all goes well, I might get my dirty paws on an Asus 1201n tomorrow. If they don't offer a lot of money, well then I'll just say bugger it, and wait until I get to Perth and score a job there, or somewhere close to there.

Ok, going to bounce off now! I have some photos, but I shall post them up later! Till then, enjoy life!

Media Whore...I mean Galore!

I now have another location to put some media: YouTube! Just click on the link and it should take you to my channel. Otherwise look for pballjedi83 in the search function, and you'll see all of my videos.

And then there's some more photos on my Picasa and Facebook. You might see some old photos, I don't know what I've posted and where, but maybe you'll see something new.

I crashed into my friends car today, which was a drag. My car made it just fine, only a small scratch, but he needed a new rear bar and rear lights. So gay. I did a U-turn and stopped really close to his car, and when I was going to back up, but being on a steep hill, I just crashed into his car instead. So gay. I'm so retarded.

Well, going to leave Hobart tomorrow to head up north to Devonport and then I have a few interviews lined up in Melbourne to see if I can find a good travel partner from Melbourne to Adelaide.

So, now I'm going to leave you guys to it, I shall see you later!

Almost forgot

Here's the webpage for the farm.

The design is a template, but the text and photos are mine. Except for the last one under More Info.

PS. Will post a video of my cars interior later on.

You can't always be spontanious

So, I left the farm, for now. I might have to go back though. Super gay.

I wanted to leave on the ferry tomorrow, thinking there would be heaps of space. How I was wrong.

I have to wait until Monday, and it's in the peak season, so I'll have to pay a fair bit extra. Instead of only having to pay 189 bucks, I now have to pay 253.

So. Lame.

I think I can go back to the farm for some work, maybe get about 200 bucks, or a little bit less. Don't know. Or I can just hang out here in Hobart and fart about. We'll see how I'm feeling. Hobart is nice, and I wouldn't mind meeting some people. Fucking travelling.

I will figure this out.

PS. Dual battery system is in, everything is running just fine. I'll talk to you guys later!
